Why do we do Praise Reports?
What if you could help change someones life for the better? From time to time we get letters telling us of a persons life hitting rock bottom. As people cry out to God for help, sometimes they end up on our site. In reading through the reports of what Jesus has done for so many it opens the door of their heart just wide enough for Jesus to talk to them. That is all it takes. One word from Jesus can turn a persons life around. That is what Praise Reports is all about.
For over ten years now Praise Reports has been joyfully funded from my pocket. The joy of reading, and crying in some cases, over these reports as I review each of the thousands that get submitted has blessed me so much. It was one such report however that brought something to my attention. For ten years no one has been able to sow into this life changing (life saving in some cases) ministry. The gentleman in the report said it was obvious God was using this site to effect the lives of other people and he was upset I was not allowing him or others the chance to help.
To those who have requested to do this through out the years I want to ask for your forgiveness. Originally, it was probably my pride that started the policy on not excepting donations. After all, "I didn't need the help of others to do Gods work." Through Bible college the last couple years the Lord has started to deal with me on this. No one person, no church, no denomination, or even any country can fulfill all the Lord is wanting to do. I was totally wrong for thinking I could do it on my own.
After coming to this revelation I began several months of thinking and praying about it. How could people be allowed to help? It was then that the Lord started showing me things HE wanted to do with Praise Reports...
* To start off I added a donate button to it. I am also working to link it to Facebook.
* There are areas of the website that need to be reprogrammed to be able to display things like paragraph breaks.
* Since many of the visitors to the site are not from the USA (in fact some are from countries were the Bible is illegal) a map will be installed to show people what nations people live in.
* Hopefully in Jan of 2012 the Praise Report Newsletter will start. This will require another database to be attached to the website to manage the newsletter emails and subscriptions.
These are just a few of the things God has been talking about.
